MINDSET - 7 TOP MINDSETS OF THE FUTURE
Fear and scarcity were hardwired into the human brain as "default mindset" 100,000 years ago.
Now, it's time to upgrade our default mindset.
Contrary to popular belief, our genetics and brain wiring have not altered significantly over the past 100,000 years, despite the fact that we 21st-century humans made significant evolutionary changes.
The issue is that we are all attempting to use an outdated mindset that is no longer useful.
WHY?
Because our predecessors were hunters and gatherers using crude stone tools in the Paleolithic era, they lived in caves or modest huts and faced continual, ever-present danger.
There was genuine scarcity there.
The daily routines of existence, such as searching for food, sleeping, screwing, caring for children, avoiding predators, and combating other tribes, did not vary from year to year, century to century, or millennium to millennium. Instead, they remained static.
This is the world in which our brains evolved to live and prosper.
Nothing impacted you that wasn't within a day's walk, and nothing was changing, so everything was local and linear.
We as a result developed a variety of ingrained mental models, including "fear & scarcity" and "local & linear" thinking.
These mental models, which assisted our ancient ancestors in surviving daily life, are still present in us now and serve as the fundamental assumptions behind how we navigate the social media and jungles of Wall Street.
Unfortunately, these views do us a great disservice in the current world where change is relentless, setting us behind and making us crouch in dread despite we pursue ambitious dreams.
Let's explore what we are missing:
Future-ready mindsets that matter most.
To face today’s VUCA world requires updated cognitive software —a new set of 7 mindsets —to manage the current fast-paced changing exponential world.
I can't emphasize enough how crucial it is to actively choose and shape your attitude as opposed to just accepting your innate programming, which was reinforced by your parents, siblings, traumatic experiences, and the evening news, as well as by evolution.
In our technology age, there are many different mindsets to take into consideration.
I think the following mindsets are the most valuable and deserving of your consideration and adaptation:
1. Curiosity:
At the heart of every significant discovery or innovation lies an insatiable curiosity.
“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” - Albert Einstein
In today's digital age, where information is at our fingertips, the real differentiator isn't just what you know, but the questions you ask (Googling and Prompting).

When you approach a subject with genuine curiosity, not only is the learning process more engaging, but the retention is also significantly higher.
Because Google and AI chatbots like ChatGPT empower us to learn almost anything we choose the quality of the questions we ask now counts more than sheer information called Prompting.
2. Gratitude:
When you're grateful, you move from expectation to appreciation, from overwhelm to thankfulness.
We must cultivate a Gratitude Mindset.
For example, being appreciative makes you more inspired, optimistic, and even healthier. This assists you in attracting the top talent and persons to your orbit and team.

Being grateful even makes you physically feel better by enabling your brain to release dopamine and serotonin, two important chemicals that control our emotions.
Gratitude has only positive aspects!
3. Abundance:
An Abundance Mindset recognizes that each year brings more and more opportunity, and that technology is a force that transforms what was once rare into greater and greater abundance.
This mindset has two dimensions: abundance vs. scarcity and optimism vs. fear.
Nothing is more essential to an Abundance Mindset than how you perceive the world in these two dimensions.
Mastering this will bring you more fulfillment and less worry.
It will alter your perception of opportunity.
An Abundance Mindset will motivate the best people to work with you, while visionary brands, partners, and investors will want to collaborate with you.

Consider the types of people you love spending time with.
Would you rather spend the day with someone who believes the world is about to collapse and sees danger around every corner?
Or with someone who believes that a driven and motivated human intellect can conquer practically any obstacle?
4. Exponential:
Our brains developed for a linear world: the rate of change was extremely modest 200,000 years ago, during early hominid evolution.
From generation to generation, or millennium to millennium, not much has changed. As a result, our thoughts were designed to function in a sluggish and linear universe.
But, according to Moore's Law, we now live in an exponential world in which technologies ranging from AI and biotech to robotics and VR double every 18 to 24 months.

An Exponential Mindset enables you to comprehend that 10 doublings result in 1,000x improvement and 30 doublings result in 1,000,000,000x gains.
With an Exponential Mindset, you can understand that in the following decade (2023-2033), mankind will make as much progress as it did in the previous century (1923-2023).
This mindset affects what you learn, the occupation you choose, the places you spend your time and money, and, if you're an entrepreneur, the business you launch.
5. Longevity:
If you have a "longevity mindset," you think that science can help you live a longer, perhaps 10 or 20 years, healthier life.
Furthermore, there is an opinion (and knowledge) that science won't stagnate over the next few decades.
Instead, advances in health technologies—such as artificial intelligence (AI), CRISPR, gene therapy, genome reading, and editing—are occurring at an exponential rate, with an emphasis on extending life expectancy and reversing disease.

A person with a longevity mindset believes that there is no genuine "upper limit" to human aging and that maintaining peak health will allow one to seize the next wave of scientific advances in stem cells, gene treatments, and epigenetic reprogramming.
Being the "CEO of your own health" and understanding that "Life is short, until you extend it" are two characteristics of a longevity mindset.
6. Moonshot:
The majority of people and businesses are OK with slow, steady improvement. 10% additional income or salary, for instance, or a 10% cost-cutting measure.
The issue is that if your goal is only 10% progress, that's probably all you'll achieve.
Why then do so many people accept simply 10%?
They are limited by a scarcity mindset.
On the other side, the most prosperous individuals in the world aim for a 10x improvement—a 1,000% change.
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars.”- Norman Vincent Peale

A Moonshot Mindset is one that sets billion-person challenges and seemingly absurd goals that, when accomplished, are recognized as breakthroughs.
A moonshot mindset compels us to ask: What is the 10x version of my business or product?
7. Purpose-Driven:
The last and possibly most significant factor is a purpose-driven mindset, which is best exemplified by the following statement:
Find something you would die for and live for it." - Anonymous
It takes A LOT of labour to do something large and daring. Additionally, it entails risks, restarts, and setbacks.
Yes, some people are fortunate.
However, the majority of success tales call for repeatedly getting back up, addressing your obstacle, and starting over again and again.
What most people consider to be an overnight triumph often takes 11 years of arduous labour.

How do you maintain that perseverance and decide what to concentrate on?
Your Purpose holds the key.
Clarifying your purpose (for yourself, your family, or your business) can be one of the most important things you can do.
Conclusion
Today, our concerns have evolved from basic survival needs to the nuances of technological advancements, personal growth, and societal impact.
"Technology has finally enabled man to take a vacation from survival." - Sadhguru
With the immense power and potential that technology offers, the question that beckons is - how will we harness this power?
What goals will we set for ourselves, our communities, and our organizations?
How will we leverage these tools to create a brighter, more inclusive, and sustainable future?
So we conclude that, as we stand at this pivotal juncture in human history, the mindsets we adopt will play a crucial role in shaping our future.
It's not just about surviving but thriving in this brave new world.
And to do that, we need to let go of the outdated software of the past and embrace the paradigms of the future.
